Krispy Kreme Donut as a Burger Bun?

Just when I think food choices can't get odder, I read an article that makes me feel icky.

There is a ballpark in the Midwest somewhere serving burgers on a Krispy Kreme donut. You read that correctly. They take one of the heavenly glazed donuts (there must be drugs in them for them to taste that damn good and to be that damn addictive), cut it in half, put your cooked ground burger patty on there and your choice of toppings. The picture that accompanied the article I read had lettuce and tomato, but why stop there? Why not add chocolate sauce and sprinkles?

Why? Because it's god-damned gross! The entire idea is damned gross.

Tomorrow I will likely find the idea originated in Buffalo.

I was visiting my sister in Charlotte, NC. We went to an art show - actually our company participated in the art show. One of the vendors was serving deep fried Twinkies and deep fried hohos and deep fried oreas....you see where I am headed with this.

Now this food is not good for you undeep fried (if that's a word/phrase). Why in Jesus would you slap some batter on it and throw it in a deep fryer?

My sister said, hey, they started this in Buffalo. To which I replied, I live in Buffalo and nowhere have I seen deep friend dessert foods. Entrees, but not desserts - not Twinkies and such. That is gross!

Why is our country obese? I cannot even imagine.

Are you saying I shouldn't have suggested to my son that he finance his university education making and selling deep-fried Mars bars? You see, I didn't have a choice. I'd already spent the college education funds we carefully saved on kayaking gear, and, besides, he could make way more money selling the bars than I could teaching... Sometimes obesity is the only answer!

I can't believe I actually wrote that dribble... ;-) I do love the T-shirt on the fat guy whose caption reads, "I Beat Anorexia!"... Cuts to the quick, doesn't it?
Cheers!
