Texas

Things seem to move much more slowly in Texas than in the rest of the country - or the rest of the world for that matter.

Exhibit A:
Katrina hits while G.W. is vacationing in Texas. Dude doesn't realize bad things happened until about a week later. Hell, half of Hollywood was able to show up with aid (and they need hair, makeup and wardrobe people) and he can't get his federal teams together. You did a heck of a job Georgie.

Exhibit B:
Our VP decides to go hunting - hunting is a mild way of describing a ranch that lets animals loose so you can shoot them, but I digress. Apparently, he doesn't realize he shot someone until about 3 days later. Alcohol may or may not have been involved. Who can say? Give them a week to decide. I don't even know what else to say about this one. I do have suggestions for hunting partners....

What's the moral to the story? Go to Texas. You can avoid the inevitable for a little while.
